PROGRAMS

The Blue Pearls Enrichment Foundation, Inc. takes a healthful approach to educating the community. Exemplifying the ideals of scholarship, service and sisterly love, the organization funds a minimum of five annual scholarships, partners with community based organizations to provide service, and mentors youth through the programs of the Foundation and youth auxiliaries of the sorority. The Blue Pearls Enrichment Foundation, Inc. (BPEF) also provides funding for signature programs developed by Zeta Zeta Chapter to fulfill the demonstrated needs of our community.​

Pilot Programs are being developed to fulfill specific educational needs identified in the community. Programs may change or evolve depending on the need of the communities we serve.

PILOT – STEM

STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) – STEM is important because it pervades every part of our lives. Strong STEM skills lead to more beautiful art, more engrossing performances, and more polished productions. STEM classes/workshops develop those soft skills that so many careers need, and so many students lack – skills like communication, problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, and data analysis. Our goal is to expose students in under served areas in the Chicago metropolitan area to STEM and give them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, that will help them develop a passion for it and hopefully pursue a career in a STEM field. We would like to develop partnerships with schools to offer curriculum in a workshop setting that is STEM-based that has real-life situations to help students learn.

PILOT – HEALTH & WELLNESS

Health & Wellness programs are good at helping people adopt and maintain healthy behaviors. This is perhaps the biggest benefit of having a wellness program. Healthy behaviors lead to lower health risks, and lower health risks lead to less chronic diseases. Our goal is to host an annual health fair and workshops to educate the community that may include:

  • Health & Wellness
  • Financial Literacy
  • Home Buying
  • Money Management for Youth
  • and many others
